Our family-owned and operated company is currently seeking a Door and Hardware Project Coordinator to join our team at our Prairieville, LA Location!
The Detailing Department is the lifeline of our growing business. This position is scheduled Monday -Thursday 7 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7 am – 3:30 pm.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage newly awarded project information through Smartsheets and Comsense.
- Identify missing information in Smartsheets to ensure all cells are filled; dates, contact info, etc. and insert all relevant information currently available.
- Key Construction dates, contact information, etc. and insert all relevant information currently available.
- Identify and organize missing documents (plans, specs, quotes)
- Contact customers through email and phone to obtain vital information needed by the project team members when new projects are awarded.
- Send standard email with current lead time sheet and Project Information Sheet attached.
- Call the customer to communicate that we have the job in progress, where the job stands, communicate missing info, etc.
- Advise the status of submittals and the anticipated release date.
- Gather date material is needed onsite.
- Gather contact information (PM, project admin and superintendent)
- Gather missing contract documents (Plans, addendum, revisions, etc.)
- Ensure plans, addenda, specs, etc. are the most current up to date release versions.
- Communicate with customers for the status of purchase orders, subcontracts, and COD down payments.
- Set up Comsense related documents by moving all estimating documents to project documents.
- Submittal Tracking Through Smartsheets.
- Maintain Submittal email account.
- Communicate with Customers for the status of submittal approvals.
- Assist Project Detailers in detailing newly awarded projects. This includes handing and locating openings, drawing door and frame elevations, lite kit sizing, reviewing doors/frames/hardware specifications and coordinating any needed changes with the Project Detailer.
- Assist Detailing Manager with administrative tasks as needed.
Preferred Experience
- Experience reading plans & specifications.
- Experience using industry-specific Detailing software (Comsense or Pro-tech)
- Familiar with the Commercial Construction Industry
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook & Bluebeam
- Excellent mathematical aptitude & problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively perform in an advanced, fast-paced environment both individually as well as part of a team.
- Needs to be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, positive and helpful demeanor, and possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must pass drug and alcohol screen and complete random screens.
